GPT-6 Astra can help you fix and improve your credit once it is connected to 850ai, or when you use it in the 850ai app. It can pull the three-bureau report, turn it into a clean list, draft the letter, and after you confirm, print it, mail it, and file. OpenAI released it on September 3, 2026. The id is gpt-6-astra. A bare Astra chat, with no connection, can only draft from what you paste.
Short answer
What Astra is
OpenAI’s announcement lists standard API pricing at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. Fast mode is up to twice as fast at twice that price. The announcement does not print a context-window size. OpenAI also says Astra is the first model it marked Critical for cybersecurity, and that the advanced cybersecurity tools are not open to every account. Asking it to “get into Equifax” is not a credit-repair step, and the safeguards are there to refuse that kind of request.
Where Astra helps on a credit file
| Job | GPT-6 Astra | What you still do |
|---|---|---|
| Make a working list | Strong at structured documents: creditor, bureau, balance, status, what looks wrong | Paste a redacted report. No Social Security number, no full account number |
| Draft the dispute | A letter that follows a template you give it | Check every date and dollar amount against the report |
| Send it | Yes. After you confirm, 850ai prints, mails USPS First Class with a postage stamp, and can file | You click confirm. Nothing goes out before that |
A prompt that matches what Astra is built for: “Turn this redacted report into a table with creditor, bureau, balance, status, and a column for whether the item looks inaccurate, unverifiable, or simply negative but mine. Do not invent accounts. Then draft a letter for the one row I mark.”
Using it with 850ai
850ai’s connector runs inside Claude and ChatGPT. It does not switch the model for you. If the ChatGPT account you connected is answering with Astra, that is the model reading the file the connector can see. You still review the letter. Printing and USPS First Class postage happen only after you click send or Deploy. Plans start at $29.99 a month. You can also dispute free, with no model at all.
- Do not paste a full credit file into a random Astra chat and also into the contributor settings of some other tool. Astra’s own page is about ChatGPT and the API. Keep the report in the account you control.
- One error per letter. A wrong balance on a Capital One card is a different letter from a collection that is not yours.
- Accurate negatives stay. Astra cannot turn a real 60-day late into a dispute the bureau must delete.
How a stamped letter differs from an online dispute is in dispute online or by mail. Which dispute apps actually mail is the best AI credit repair tools comparison. Astra is not one of those apps.
